This holiday season, we want our Georgia communities to be safe and informed. Join Georgia Recovers as we walk through a refresher of some of the common substances being used in our communities today, as well as new and emerging substances being introduced into the illicit drug market. We'll also provide participants with an overview of the substance use treatment landscape and opportunities to provide harm reductive care in clinical practice. Participants will: • Understand the current landscape of substance use treatment, • Review common substances being used in our communities (marijuana, Kratom, Methamphetamine, and fentanyl), as well as review common myths and misconceptions associated with these substances, and • Learn about new and emerging substances being introduced into the illicit drug market (Xylazine and Phenibut) and talk through resources to stay up to date on emerging substance trends.
