Shawn felt at home in his recovery when he found people he could relate to—people from his own neighborhood. "It made me feel like I wasn't alone in this. I felt like there was people who understood."
Shawn built the foundation for his recovery one day at a time. "When not just one day take it one, one hour, one minute, one thought at a time. Just get through that thought. Get through that day, and then you'll figure it out again the next day." Those days have been the building blocks of his accomplishments.
