Shawn Found Support With Neighborhood Connections

Updated: Nov 14, 2024

Discover Shawn's journey of finding solace and support in his own community, one day at a time, as he constructs the foundation of his recovery amidst relatable experiences.

Shawn felt at home in his recovery when he found people he could relate to—people from his own neighborhood. "It made me feel like I wasn't alone in this. I felt like there was people who understood."

Shawn built the foundation for his recovery one day at a time. "When not just one day take it one, one hour, one minute, one thought at a time. Just get through that thought. Get through that day, and then you'll figure it out again the next day." Those days have been the building blocks of his accomplishments.
